HVAC Business TrainingYour trade taught you superheat and subcooling. It never taught you gross margin or cash flow.

Business training for the air conditioning owner who learned the trade properly and the business by accident. This is how to read your numbers, price an install, build a service base and lead a crew, instead of working it out one expensive job at a time.

The week this is about

Sound Like Your Air Conditioning Business?

You were trained on plant, not on profit

Four years of apprenticeship, a handling licence, and update training every time the refrigerant rules move. Not one hour of it covered a profit and loss, a break-even number, or what your business is actually worth. So you guess, and you have been guessing since day one.

Every course on offer is another technical ticket

Search for air conditioning training and you get units of competency, licence pathways and A2L handling. All necessary. None of it tells you why a busy month left you short, or which of your three service crews is losing money every single week.

You learn the business lesson by wearing the loss

The commercial retrofit that went three weeks over. The warranty callbacks you never charged for. The apprentice you carried too long. Each one taught you something real and each one cost thousands, because there was nowhere cheaper to learn it.

Every year you stay self taught, the same mistakes get more expensive, because now they happen across a bigger team and a bigger wage bill.

Training

Here Is What We Do About It.

The Academy teaches the commercial side properly. The Learning Hub at $199 a month puts the full lesson library in the Tradies App, covering numbers, pricing, systems, marketing and team. Business Foundations adds weekly live sessions hosted by Greg Allan, where you work on your own air conditioning business, not a case study.

How it works

Three Steps, Starting Tonight.

Step 1

Start tonight, for nothing

Join the Tradies App with an active ABN and the starter courses open straight away. No card, no trial clock counting down while you are still on site.

Step 2

Work the module that matches the problem

You do not start at lesson one and work through the lot. You start at the thing that is costing you money this month, and the library is organised so you can find it.

Step 3

Take it live

Business Foundations runs weekly with Greg Allan, so the module you watched on Tuesday gets pressure tested against your actual numbers on Thursday.

Why you get me

I built the coaching company everyone else runs. Then I took it apart.

Most coaching companies work the same way. You enquire, you get a salesperson. You sign up, you get a coach who has never run a trade business.

I know, because I built one. I grew the Academy to 35 staff, a CEO and 15 coaches. It ran without me.

And I hated it. The bigger it got, the further I was from the owners I started it for.

What gets me up in the morning is getting under the hood of a trade business and helping the owner hit their goals in the least time possible.

So I restructured the whole thing.

When you enquire, you speak to me. If you are accepted into the Academy, you work with me. Directly.

And with agentic AI, the results come sooner than most owners can imagine.

Places are limited. I only take on owners who are committed and ready to do the work.

Who you will be talking to

I built Response Electricians in Perth into a 30+ staff business with more than 1,950+ five-star reviews.

A general manager runs it day to day. I live in Byron Bay.

I have trained 9,000+ trade business owners across Australia and New Zealand.

What AI actually changes

The old way. The new way.

Illustration: a trade business owner standing over three office staff buried in paperwork at night.
The old way

More customers meant more people doing your computer work, and you paying for all of it.

Illustration: a tradesman shaking hands with a homeowner in her driveway, his phone showing jobs quoted and invoiced.
The new way

You stay with your customers and your team. Agents run the office your way.

The old way

Grow, then hire people to do the computer work.

Every new customer brought more quoting, invoicing, chasing, scheduling and reporting.

So you hired people to do it. Office staff, bookkeepers, admin.

None of it is billable, and every hire costs wages, sick leave and another person to manage.

Profit and time only grew as fast as you could add people.

The new way

Keep the human work. Give everything else to agents.

Your people do what only people can do: looking after customers and leading the team.

Everything else goes to agents that do it your way, instantly, any time it is needed.

No sick leave. No capacity problems. They scale as far as the business does.

So the only people you add are the ones facing your customers and your team.

A human-centred business that runs on systems you build in minutes. Nobody still running the old way can compete with it.

What changes

What Air Conditioning Business Training Actually Changes.

Three things air conditioning business owners walk away able to do.

Read your own profit and loss and say where the money went last month

Build an install and service price from your real cost base, not from a competitor's quote

Run a week that has planned service work in it, not just whatever broke down

Questions

HVAC Business Training, Answered.

Is this technical training or licence training?
Neither. Your handling licence, state contractor licence and A2L competency come from the regulator and your registered training provider. The Academy teaches the part nobody else covers: pricing, cash flow, systems, marketing, hiring and leadership for an air conditioning and refrigeration business. You keep the tickets. We fix what happens after the job is booked.
I am flat out installing all summer. When would I do the training?
The Learning Hub is self paced and lives in the Tradies App, so lessons get done between callouts, in the ute before a commissioning job, or on a wet Tuesday. Business Foundations runs live weekly and is recorded. Most owners build momentum in the shoulder season, then run the busy months on the systems they built.
Does the training suit a commercial contractor, not just residential splits?
Yes. The numbers behind a residential split business and a commercial plant and maintenance business are different in scale, not in structure. Both need a real charge-out rate, a service base, a hiring plan and a cash buffer. The Learning Hub covers both, and working with Greg lets you work it against your own contract mix.
