Electrician Business MarketingWord of mouth built the business. It will not fill next month's board when the phone goes quiet.

Marketing and lead generation for electrical businesses: how to stop depending on one builder, get found for the work you want, and keep the board full through the quiet weeks after Christmas. Built for owners, not for agencies.

Sound Like Your Electrical Business?

One builder is most of your turnover

When they are busy you cannot breathe. When they go quiet, or go under owing you a progress claim, so does your year. You know the risk and you have never had a spare week to build another source of work.

The leads you get are price shoppers

The phone rings for a downlight swap and a quote comparison, never the switchboard upgrade or the commercial fit out. You are competing on hourly rate against a bloke with no overheads, and winning that job would hurt.

Marketing happens only when work dries up

Flat out in November, so nothing goes out. January comes, the board is empty, and you panic post on Facebook and drop your price. The feast and famine cycle repeats every year and you have started planning your life around it.

A business with one source of work is one phone call away from a bad year, and the discounting you do to survive it takes two years to undo.

Marketing and lead generation

Here Is What We Do About It.

The marketing and lead generation training in the Learning Hub shows you how electrical businesses actually get found and chosen: the offer, the follow up, the reviews, the referral engine and the work worth chasing. Business Foundations and Greg keep you doing it in the busy months, not just the quiet ones.

How it works

Three Steps, Starting Tonight.

Step 1

Fix what happens to the leads you already get

Most trade businesses do not have a lead problem first. They have a follow-up problem. We start where the money is already leaking, because it is free to fix.

Step 2

Build one channel properly

One channel that works beats five that half work. The training walks the whole thing: the offer, the proof, the ad, the page and the call back.

Step 3

Make the phone ring on purpose

A pipeline you can turn up when the diary looks thin in six weeks, rather than hoping the referrals land in the same month the wages do.

Why you get me

I built the coaching company everyone else runs. Then I took it apart.

Most coaching companies work the same way. You enquire, you get a salesperson. You sign up, you get a coach who has never run a trade business.

I know, because I built one. I grew the Academy to 35 staff, a CEO and 15 coaches. It ran without me.

And I hated it. The bigger it got, the further I was from the owners I started it for.

What gets me up in the morning is getting under the hood of a trade business and helping the owner hit their goals in the least time possible.

So I restructured the whole thing.

When you enquire, you speak to me. If you are accepted into the Academy, you work with me. Directly.

And with agentic AI, the results come sooner than most owners can imagine.

Places are limited. I only take on owners who are committed and ready to do the work.

Who you will be talking to

I built Response Electricians in Perth into a 30+ staff business with more than 1,950+ five-star reviews.

A general manager runs it day to day. I live in Byron Bay.

I have trained 9,000+ trade business owners across Australia and New Zealand.

What AI actually changes

The old way. The new way.

Illustration: a trade business owner standing over three office staff buried in paperwork at night.
The old way

More customers meant more people doing your computer work, and you paying for all of it.

Illustration: a tradesman shaking hands with a homeowner in her driveway, his phone showing jobs quoted and invoiced.
The new way

You stay with your customers and your team. Agents run the office your way.

The old way

Grow, then hire people to do the computer work.

Every new customer brought more quoting, invoicing, chasing, scheduling and reporting.

So you hired people to do it. Office staff, bookkeepers, admin.

None of it is billable, and every hire costs wages, sick leave and another person to manage.

Profit and time only grew as fast as you could add people.

The new way

Keep the human work. Give everything else to agents.

Your people do what only people can do: looking after customers and leading the team.

Everything else goes to agents that do it your way, instantly, any time it is needed.

No sick leave. No capacity problems. They scale as far as the business does.

So the only people you add are the ones facing your customers and your team.

A human-centred business that runs on systems you build in minutes. Nobody still running the old way can compete with it.

What changes

What Electrical Business Marketing Actually Changes.

Three things electrical business owners walk away able to do.

Build a second and third source of work so one builder cannot sink your year

Write an offer that attracts switchboard and rewire work, not downlight shoppers

Run a marketing routine that keeps going while you are flat out on site

Questions

Electrician Business Marketing, Answered.

How do electricians get work without relying on word of mouth?
By making the existing word of mouth systematic and adding channels on top: a proper Google presence, reviews asked for on every job, a follow up on every quote that went cold, and a reason for past customers to call you again. Most electrical businesses are not short of leads, they are short of follow up.
Should I chase domestic, commercial or solar and EV work?
Whichever one your business is built to deliver profitably, which usually means the one you can price and repeat. Solar needs SAA accreditation, batteries need the battery endorsement for rebate eligible installs, and EV charger work needs no accreditation at all. Greg helps you choose based on your margin, not on what looks busy.
Do I need to spend money on ads to get more electrical work?
Not first. Fix the free things before you buy attention: answer the phone, quote same day, follow up, ask for the review. Most electrical businesses lift revenue on those alone. When you do advertise, you want a rate that carries the cost of a lead, which is a pricing job before it is a marketing one.
