Builder Business SoftwareBuilding software shaped around your estimates, schedules, variations and claims, on your own data, instead of a rented platform built for everyone.

Builder business software does not have to be a platform rented by the seat and built for every kind of contractor. This page is for building company owners juggling separate tools for estimating, scheduling, variations and claims. It shows how you build your own software on your own data, around how your builds run and how your clients buy, and keep only the subscriptions that earn their place.

Sound Like Your Building Business?

Estimating, scheduling and claims in separate rented tools

Most building company owners pay for an estimating tool, a scheduling tool, a client portal and an accounting system, and none of them talk properly. The same job gets typed in again at every step, so the variation priced on site never reaches the claim and the margin on the build is guesswork until the end.

Per seat pricing for every supervisor and subcontractor

The construction platform charges for each supervisor, estimator and office login, and more again to let subcontractors and clients see the schedule. So the owner rations access, the subcontractors get the schedule by text, and the client rings to ask when the cabinets go in. The bill climbs with every new hire.

Reports that cannot say which builds made money

The software produces job costing screens, but the owner still cannot see, in a single view, which builds made margin, which client type keeps adding variations or which subcontractor causes the most defects. The answer sits across several systems owned by other companies, and pulling it together takes a weekend with a spreadsheet.

Leaving it costs the building company a growing software bill and a margin it only discovers after the build is finished.

Data First Coaching

Builder Business Software, Built on Your Own Data.

Data First Coaching starts from your own job and finance data. On that data you build the systems, software and business apps your building business actually needs, shaped around how your jobs run and how your customers buy, and AI agents take the office work. Greg Allan works it through with you.

How most coaching works

Most coaching for builders starts with the owner explaining the business.

  • The first hours go on the owner describing the building business to a coach: the jobs, the crew, the customers, the money.
  • The picture is out of date within weeks, because the numbers move every week.
  • So the advice treats what the owner happened to notice, which is usually a symptom.
  • Too often it comes from someone who has never run a building business, or any trade business at all.
  • The owner pays for the explaining, then pays again when the advice does not fit.

Data First Coaching

Data first starts from your building business's numbers, not your memory.

  • The Trade Business Intelligence Agent reads your job management and finance systems first.
  • It sees your quotes, jobs, time on site and money as they are this week, the way builders actually make and lose it.
  • It finds where the problem actually starts, not where it shows up.
  • You put in the system that fixes it at the root, and the data shows whether it worked.

Which of these is the root cause in your building business?

  • Estimating, scheduling and claims in separate rented tools
  • Per seat pricing for every supervisor and subcontractor
  • Reports that cannot say which builds made money

Usually one of them is causing the others. Data first means your own numbers answer that before anybody guesses, so the fix goes where the problem starts.

Fix the root cause, once

The data names the real problem, so the system you put in fixes it once instead of patching the same symptom every month.

Own your software

Build your own tools on your own data, shaped around how your jobs run and how your customers buy. Cancel the subscriptions and agencies that were never built for your business.

A more human business

Agents do the non-billable work: the quoting, invoicing, chasing and reporting. Your people spend the day on customers and the crew, so relationships get better and the team performs.

Business software, built by you

Here Is What We Do About It.

You start with Data First Coaching, created by Greg Allan. The Trade Business Intelligence Agent reads your job management and finance data, so you can see which tools earn their place and which were never built for how you build. With Greg and the group you build your own software on that data: estimates that flow into claims, a schedule your trades can see, variations signed on site. Start in the free Tradies App while you wait.

How it works

Three Steps, Starting Tonight.

Step 1

See what your tools cost and miss

Your own data shows which subscriptions earn their place and which were never built for how you work.

Step 2

Build on your own data

You build the quoting, scheduling and reporting you actually need, on data you own, with Greg and the group alongside.

Step 3

Cancel what never fitted

Keep what works and cancel the subscriptions and agencies that were never built for your business, once the replacement is proven.

Why Greg

You speak to the owner who has already done it.

Greg built Response Electricians in Perth into a 30+ staff business with 1,950+ five-star reviews. A general manager runs it.

He has trained 9,000+ trade business owners across Australia and New Zealand.

He grew a coaching company to 35 staff, a CEO and 15 coaches, then cut it back so every owner deals with him directly.

Most coaching companies hand you to a salesperson, then to a coach who has never run a trade business. Here you get the owner.

What changes for you

The old way. The new way.

Illustration: a trade business owner standing over three office staff buried in paperwork at night.
The old way

More customers meant more people doing the computer work, and more wages nobody invoices.

Illustration: a tradesman shaking hands with a homeowner in her driveway, his phone showing jobs quoted and invoiced.
The new way

You stay with your customers and your team. The office stops landing on you.

The old way

More jobs. More paperwork. Less of the owner left.

Most trade businesses grow the same way.

More jobs means more quoting, invoicing, chasing and scheduling.

None of it gets paid for.

So the owner does it at night, after a full day on site.

Or hires an office person to do it.

The office grows. The wages grow. The margin does not.

And the owner is still the one everything waits on.

Where we take you

More work. More profit. More of you left.

The phone rings with the jobs you want, at the price you set.

You grow when you're ready, never faster than the business can carry.

Every job is priced to make money, so the busy months show up in the bank.

The best tradies in your area want to work for you, and they stay.

The chasing, the paperwork and the 9pm admin stop landing on you.

The business runs the day. You pick which parts of it you're in.

Bigger, without the headaches. Getting bigger stops meaning getting busier.

Questions

Builder Business Software, Answered.

What is the best software for a building business?
For a building company it is software that carries an estimate through to the schedule, every signed variation and each progress claim without retyping, and most rented platforms split that across several tools. Project home builders running a standard design may be fine off the shelf. Renovation, extension and custom builders usually get more from software built on their own job and cost data.
Can a builder make their own business software without a developer?
Yes. You walk through how a renovation actually goes, from site measure and estimate to frame, lock-up, fixing and handover, with the variations and claims at each stage, and AI writes software that follows it. Greg and the group help you test it against your real builds. Most building owners start where money leaks, usually unsigned variations or late claims.
Will my estimating and job history come across if I change software?
Yes, provided the old platform stays live until the new tool is proven. Past estimates, supplier quotes, subcontractor rates and signed variations are pulled out early, so your next estimate is priced from real history. Builds already under way can finish on the system they started on if that is safer, and you switch off only when nothing depends on it.
Can I give clients and subcontractors access to software I build?
Yes, and without paying per login. Software you build on your own data can show a client the next stage and the variations awaiting signature, and show a subcontractor their dates on the schedule. You decide what each person sees, so the client stops ringing for updates and the trades turn up in the right order.
