Why Greg

You speak to the owner who has already done it.

Greg built Response Electricians in Perth into a 30+ staff business with 1,950+ five-star reviews. A general manager runs it.

He has trained 9,000+ trade business owners across Australia and New Zealand.

He grew a coaching company to 35 staff, a CEO and 15 coaches, then cut it back so every owner deals with him directly.

Most coaching companies hand you to a salesperson, then to a coach who has never run a trade business. Here you get the owner.

The Academy is full because it works, and Greg keeps it small on purpose so every business gets looked at properly, by him. He reads every application himself, interviews the owners who fit and only takes on owners who are building for the right reasons and give back to the group. Join the waitlist and he'll be in touch when a place opens.

The old way

More customers meant more people doing the computer work, and more wages nobody invoices.

Illustration: a tradesman shaking hands with a homeowner in her driveway, his phone showing jobs quoted and invoiced.
The new way

You stay with your customers and your team. The office stops landing on you.

The old way

More jobs. More paperwork. Less of the owner left.

Most trade businesses grow the same way.

More jobs means more quoting, invoicing, chasing and scheduling.

None of it gets paid for.

So the owner does it at night, after a full day on site.

Or hires an office person to do it.

The office grows. The wages grow. The margin does not.

And the owner is still the one everything waits on.

Where we take you

More work. More profit. More of you left.

The phone rings with the jobs you want, at the price you set.

You grow when you're ready, never faster than the business can carry.

Every job is priced to make money, so the busy months show up in the bank.

The best tradies in your area want to work for you, and they stay.

The chasing, the paperwork and the 9pm admin stop landing on you.

The business runs the day. You pick which parts of it you're in.

Bigger, without the headaches. Getting bigger stops meaning getting busier.

The real problem

Starting wrong is expensive

You're good at your trade. But the gaps in the business side cost real money, in lost time, wasted effort and missed opportunities. The longer you leave them, the wider they get.

Not sure where to begin

You're good on the tools but you've never run a business, and you're worried you'll miss something important.

Afraid of legal or tax problems

Do you need a company? What about insurance and tax? You don't want to set up wrong and fix it later.

No idea how to price your work

You want to make money but you're not sure what to charge. You don't want to price too low or too high.

No plan for the first 12 months

You're starting but you don't know what matters first. Right now you're winging it.

The difference

Start the way the ones who last started

This isn't a generic business course. It's what actually worked at Response Electricians and in the trade businesses of members across Australia and New Zealand, so you start from what works instead of finding out the hard way.

What most people try

  • Starting without a business plan
  • Copying pricing from competitors without understanding your own costs
  • Skipping insurance or legal setup to save money

Where you start instead

  • Set up properly from day one: structure, ABN, insurance and accounts sorted
  • Rates worked out from your real costs and the profit you want
  • A clear focus for every quarter of your first year

Your first year

Where you'll be twelve months in

Set up right from the first day, every job priced to make money, and year two planned before year one is done.

01

You know why you're doing it

You've made the shift from employee to owner in your head, not just on paper, and you know what success looks like for you.

02

The right structure for you

Sole trader, partnership or company, picked for your tax and your risk, so you're not unpicking it later.

03

Registered and licensed properly

ABN, business name, licences and your terms sorted from the start, not after something goes wrong.

04

Covered when a job goes wrong

The insurance tradies actually need, without the gaps that hurt you when you find them.

05

Tax that doesn't catch you out

GST, tax and super handled, records kept, and an accountant who's working for you, not chasing you.

06

Every job priced to make money

Your rates come from your real costs and the profit you want, so you're making money, not just turnover.

07

Getting paid without chasing

Quoting, invoicing and job flow kept simple from the first job, and set up to grow with you.

08

Year two planned before year one ends

You know what matters in each quarter of your first year, so your energy goes on the right things at the right time.

What changes

What happens when you apply this

These are the shifts new owners see when they stop guessing and start using a system. Same trade, same market, completely different outcomes.

Common questions

Before you apply

What is in the course?
Eight modules across 15 self-paced video lessons: purpose and mindset, business structure, legal setup and licences, insurance, accounting and tax, pricing and quoting, first systems and tools, and a roadmap for your first 12 months.
Should I start as a sole trader or a company?
The course covers this in full. Sole trader is simpler to start. A company offers liability protection and tax benefits at higher profit. Most start as a sole trader and transition to a company as profit grows.
How much insurance do I need?
The course covers this. Public liability is mandatory in most trades, tools cover protects your equipment, vehicle cover is essential, and income protection covers you. Do not skimp here.
What is a good hourly rate to start?
The course covers this. It depends on your trade and location. Start by calculating your costs plus desired profit, then test in market. You can adjust quarterly.
Is this course included with a membership?
Yes. If you are on Freedom Fighter 1:1 or Tradie Teams, you have full access through the Learning Hub at no extra cost. On the standalone Learning Hub it is included at AUD 199 + GST per month, or buy this course outright with lifetime access.
What if I do not have a business plan?
The course walks you through a simple planning process. What are your revenue targets, how many jobs, what customer types? A simple plan beats no plan, and you can refine it as you go.
Can I get help with my startup?
Yes. Join the waitlist and tell me where you are. If you are accepted into Tradie Teams or Freedom Fighter 1:1, you work with me directly on setup, pricing and first-year strategy.
How do I get the course?
The Academy is at full capacity, so you join the waitlist first. When a place opens, I interview you to make sure it is the right starting point for your business. I only take owners who are committed, disciplined and willing to learn something new.
