Build Live, Byron Bay

You have had the plan for years. We build it on a Friday.

One day at the Academy HQ in Byron Bay, ten trade business owners at a time. Greg sits with you and the systems that run your business get built, tested and switched on before you fly home. Your accommodation is included and the whole room stays together.

Ten seats a day, fifty across the five Fridays. Every application goes to an interview first, because the room only works if all ten owners can commit to it.

The wall

It was never the plan. It was always the building.

We have trained more than 9,000 trade business owners across Australia and New Zealand. The frameworks land every time. The will is there every time. The thing that stops it, every single time, is the week the building was meant to happen in.

You already have the plan

The frameworks landed. The prompts are saved somewhere. The list of things you were going to automate has been on the same page for two years and not one of them is running.

You started, then it stalled at the setup

The first hour goes fine. Then it wants an account you do not have, a key you cannot find, a step nobody wrote down, and the quote you were meant to send tonight is still not sent.

You paid someone and got half a thing

Slick pitch, generic workflow, no trades context. Three months later you are out of pocket, the automation half works, and you are the one still doing the job it was meant to do.

Build Live removes the week. You fly in, you build it with us in the room, and it is running before you fly out.

The five Fridays

Five days. Ten seats each. Fifty in total.

One day a week for five weeks at the Academy HQ in Byron Bay. Pick the Friday you can genuinely be off the tools for, because once your seat is confirmed it is held for you and nobody else can take it.

The day

What actually happens in the room

No stage, no slides to sit through, no notebook. Ten laptops open, the team on your shoulder, and a business that works differently by five o’clock.

One owner reaching across the table to point at something on another owner's laptop screen, both of them looking at the same thing
Morning

Your AI stops being generic and becomes yours

We load your brand voice, your pricing rules, your margins, your job types and your operating standards into it. Everything it writes after this sounds like you and prices like you. Most owners have never got past this step on their own.

Midday

System one gets built, and goes live

Usually quoting or lead qualification, because that is where the money leaks fastest. Built on your real business, with your real numbers, tested on a real job. Live before lunch.

Lunch

The room eats together

Ten owners, one table, and the conversation you cannot get anywhere else: what everyone just built, what broke, and what they are doing about the thing you are stuck on.

Afternoon

Two more systems, picked off your own bottleneck

Not a curriculum everyone sits through. You name the job that is eating your week and we build the thing that takes it off you. Music on, three screens deep, and the team is on your shoulder the whole time.

To finish

You run the lot in front of the room

You drive, everyone watches, and it either works or we fix it there. Nobody flies home with a half-built system and a plan to finish it on the weekend. That is the entire point of doing this in a room.

You do not need another plan. You need a Friday and a room.

What the ticket covers

The day, the bed, and the systems you fly home with

Ten owners, one room, and what you build in it is yours. The wall behind you fills up over the day, and none of it gets wiped before you have taken it home.

Two trade business owners laughing across the table with a business model canvas covered in sticky notes on the wall behind them
The room

Ten owners, and Greg in the room all day

Not a stage and not a webinar. Ten seats, one long table, and the founder who built a 30-plus staff electrical business sitting next to you while you build. Ten is the cap because eleven is the number where somebody stops getting helped.

Included

Your accommodation, and the room stays together

Your stay in Byron Bay is built into the ticket and every owner in your group stays in the same place. The night before and the evening after is where half the value lands, and it does not happen if everyone scatters to a different hotel.

You keep it

Three systems running in your business

Not slides, not a recording, not a workbook to action later. Working systems, live in your business, doing the job before you get on the plane. Plus every prompt written on the day, documented, so you can rebuild or extend any of it.

Afterwards

The Academy behind you when it breaks

A system that runs on the Friday still needs a hand in six weeks when a supplier changes a form or you add a trade. You go home into the Tradies App with the room you built alongside, and the people who built it with you.

Two ways in

Build Live, or Build Live VIP

Same day, same room, same ten seats. The difference is what happens in the six months after it. Madison walks you through both on your interview and helps you pick the one that fits.

Build Live

The day, and everything in it

The full build day at the Academy HQ, your accommodation, the room, and three systems live in your business before you fly home. Everything documented and yours to keep.

Build Live VIP

The day, then six months of Greg

Everything in Build Live, then a fortnightly session with Greg personally for six months. The build day gets three systems running. The six months is where the rest of the business gets built, one session at a time, with the person who built it in his own trade business first.

How it works

From application to a seat with your name on it

Four steps, and an interview in the middle of them. We would rather turn down an application than put someone in a room they cannot get value from.

A trade business owner talking through where his business is actually stuck, paperwork on the table in front of him
01

Send the application

Ten minutes. Your trade, your team, your numbers and the job that is eating your week. Be straight with it. Vague answers make for a wasted interview and a wasted seat.

02

You get an interview, not a sales script

Madison reads every application and calls you. We are working out two things: whether the day will actually move your business, and whether you can commit to the date, the flights and a full day off the tools. If the answer is no, we will tell you.

03

Your seat is confirmed and your date is locked

Price, payment and your accommodation are all settled on that call. Once the seat is yours it is held, so book your flights and tell your team you are off the tools that Friday.

04

You turn up with a laptop and a business

That is the whole preparation. No pre-work, no reading, no setup to get wrong before you arrive. We send one short note the week before telling you what to bring and where the room is.

“Every system we build on that Friday is a system I run in my own trade business. I am not going to sit next to you and build something I have never had to make money with.”

Be honest with yourself

Build Live is not for every owner

Ten seats and five days means fifty of these exist. Read both columns before you apply, because a seat taken by the wrong owner is a seat the right one could not get.

Right for you if

  • You run a trade business today, with real jobs, real customers and real numbers to build on
  • You can take a full Friday off the tools and fly into Byron Bay for it
  • You want systems running in your business, not another set of notes
  • You have tried to build this yourself and stalled somewhere in the setup
  • You will sit in a room of ten owners and share what is actually going on in your business
  • You would rather own the systems than rent an agency that owns them for you

Not right for you if

  • You are shopping on price alone
  • You cannot commit to a date, or you will decide the week before
  • You want it built for you while you stay out of the room
  • You have no business yet, or no jobs to build the systems on
  • You are waiting for AI to settle down before you start
  • You want a conference to sit at the back of

Straight answers

The questions every owner asks before they book a flight

What actually is Build Live?
One day at the Academy HQ in Byron Bay with ten trade business owners and Greg. We take the systems your business needs, quoting, lead qualification, follow-up, reporting, whichever ones are costing you the most, and we build them in the room on your real business. They are live and running before you leave. It is not a course, a conference or a webinar. Nothing is recorded for you to watch later, because you will have built it.
How many people are in the room?
Ten. That is the cap on every one of the five days and it does not move. Eleven is the number where somebody sits with their hand up. Ten is the number where Greg and the team can get to every screen, every time, all day. Fifty seats exist across the whole season and that is the lot.
Do I need to be technical?
No, and most owners who come are not. Everything is built assuming you have never set any of this up before. If you can run a trade business and use a laptop, you have everything you need. The whole reason this happens in a room is that the setup is where people get stuck on their own.
What does it cost?
Madison will talk you through the price on your interview, along with what is included and how payment works. Every program above the Learning Hub works this way, because what the right answer is depends on your business, and there are two versions of Build Live to choose between. Apply and you will have a real number within a couple of days.
Is my accommodation really included?
Yes. Your stay is built into the ticket and everyone in your group stays in the same place, because the night before and the evening after the build is where a lot of the value is. The exact nights and the property are confirmed on your interview so you can book flights around them. Flights are yours.
Will you sell me something on the day?
Yes, and here is exactly how, so it is not a surprise. Near the end of the day Greg shows you what keeping the momentum looks like: what he would build with you next and which program does it. One conversation, once, and there is no obligation to take it. You go home with three systems running either way, which is what you paid for.
What if I cannot make any of the five dates?
Apply anyway and say so. We will tell you honestly whether there is a later season worth waiting for or whether something we already run fits you better right now. There is no point holding a seat you cannot get to, and there is no point you waiting six months for a room when the answer is a program you could start on Monday.
Can I bring my partner or my office manager?
They take a seat, so they need their own. Ten is ten. Plenty of businesses send the owner and the person who will run the systems day to day, and it works well, but both need to apply and both need a seat.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop you can install things on, your logins for whatever you already run the business on, and a rough idea of the job that eats the most of your week. We send a short note the week before with the rest. There is no pre-work.
What happens after the day?
The systems you built keep running, and you keep every prompt behind them. You go back into the Tradies App with the owners you built alongside. If you took Build Live VIP, your fortnightly sessions with Greg start straight after and run for six months, which is where the rest of the business gets built.
Why Byron Bay?
It is where the Academy HQ is and where Greg is. A trade business owner who flies somewhere, sleeps there and turns up with nothing else on for the day builds more in eight hours than the same owner does in eight weeks of trying to find a spare evening at home. The location is the mechanism, not the perk.
What if it does not work for my trade?
Tell us your trade on the application and we will be straight with you. We have trained more than 9,000 trade business owners across Australia and New Zealand, so we generally know within a minute whether the systems fit. We turn people away when the answer is no, and we would rather do that than take a seat off someone the day would have worked for.
