15 Years of Electrical Business Advice - From Burnout to Success Adams Story

with Adam Taylor from AT Electrical

Want to learn how the Tradies Success Academy can help you optimise your trade or construction business for profit, growth, and time freedom?

What happens when you build your business to a team of 30+ staff but don’t have the systems and support to make it sustainable? What happens to your life, your relationships and your mental health when you don’t have any boundaries between your personal life and business?

Adam Taylor joins us this week to share his story about how a few years ago his business and marriage fell apart. We celebrate Adam so much for allowing himself to be raw and vulnerable in the sharing of his story. Running a business, being a parent and a spouse is no easy feat, especially without any support. Adam takes such a stellar amount of accountability and shows such a positive example of masculinity when he speaks about the mistakes he made in the past. It takes real courage to self-reflect and invest your time and energy in becoming the best version of yourself.

Since joining the Academy, Adam has rebuilt his life and business and he shares the three most important lessons he's learnt along the way:

  • Know your cost of ops - get really clear on your business numbers

  • Do a daily brain dump to finish off your workday - clear your mind so your family get the best of you, not a distracted, stressed version of you

  • Get support - if you’re struggling with anything big or small, reach out for help, from friends, family, coaches or even a therapist!
